Welcome to the second BlogFlash event! The first (#BlogFlash2012) was so well received that we decided to run it twice yearly. It’s a great opportunity to get creative, meet other bloggers and get a new audience. Whether you join us for the full month or just a few days, the main aim is to have fun and be inspired. Anything else is a bonus. Good luck!
#BlogFlash2013: Day One – Laughter
When our eldest grandchild laughed for the first time, his mom, Jen, sent me a phone message of his laughter. It made me smile and I installed it as my ring tone. Every time my phone rang, I heard Sammy laughing, and my heart swelled with joy.
There really is nothing in the world like a baby’s laugh.
My husband, Dave, has a wonderful, offbeat sense of humor. I love his quirky personality-and I love him for making me laugh. I love the sound of my children laughing, alone or together, and I’ll make an absolute utter fool of myself to get a laugh out of any one of our five little bundles of grandchild joy. But the sound of a stranger’s laughter makes me smile, too. Laughter must affect the dopamine levels in our brain, because the sound is like an instantaneous, natural antidepressant.
When I think of the synapses of the brain, one connected to the other, I see a long chain of humans, the sound of our collective laughter joining us to one another, connecting us, heart to heart, brain to brain, elevating us, bringing forward our best.

I absolutely love that you had your grandchild's laughter as your ring tone! What a wonderful sound to hear when someone calls. Laughter is so infectious and that is a fabulous thing.

Laughter is so good. I've used the prompt in a slightly sinister way, can't imagine where I got that from :-)
Thanks Terry for hosting.

Thanks for hosting the latest #BlogFlash Terri. Great to have this back. Looking forward to visiting all the bloggers. I'm commenting on behalf of Mr Kain who considers such ventures beneath him, not because he's rude but usually he's asleep. http://diaryofmrkain.com/2013/03/blogflash2013-day-1-laughter/
I didn't realize where to add the link, until now. :) I posted about laughter here:  http://mervi.helmikuu.net/2013-03-day-1-laughter-blogflash2013
I have had similar thoughts about using people's laugh as a ringtone. We have some great video of my son laughing into a mic with echo which cracked him up and caused more laughter all around. Thanks for hosting! https://tisbetter2give.blogspot.com/2013/03/blogflash2013-day-one-laughter.html
Laughter is great for the soul!
One of my top 1000 things about kids is they just don't think about everything too much. No self-consciousness yet. It's very hard work getting an adult to laugh, but kids are effortless and honest. A teacher encouraged me to write like a child because adults bring too much prejudice, cliche and other junk into the equation and over-think it all trying to be perfect. http://eightysixthepoet.blogspot.com/2013/03/blog…
I had a busy week with a conference, but I have my laughter post up. It really is one of the most uplifting things around. And who doesn't smile when they hear a baby's giggle. So pure. http://kimmydonn.com
Hi Terri! Lovely post, I have a very clear memory of my daughter's first laughter when she was a baby. Pity I couldn't record it!
Laughing releases endorphines, the body's natural version of morphine :D
My post is here: http://mindsandmodels.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/what-is-laughter-for.html
Oh and I should have said, endorphins (like other drugs) cause more dopamine to be released :) So maybe it can be addictive :D

Five days later and many emails between Livefyre and me and I'm finally able to post comments – YAY!!! Here is my little tale about Laughter http://wp.me/p1UhOl-h5
I’m starting super late because I just learned of this recently. I’m going to catch up because I want to do the whole challenge. Here is a little anecdote I hope brings a smile to someone’s face. http://www.crystalschall.com/5/post/2013/03/blogf…
